Some people chase relationship after relationship, believing that it holds the key to their life\u2019s happiness. While others hold on to the belief that earning a certain salary will bring them joy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These are common thoughts, but when you think like that, you\u2019re giving your power away. You\u2019re giving that power to an external factor, such as the thought of success, a person, or your job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your inner dialogue is telling your subconscious that you cannot be happy unless you satisfy certain criteria. Sadly, you\u2019re entirely unaware that you\u2019re doing this to yourself, so you\u2019re oblivious to the fact that you\u2019ve given your power away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Don\u2019t Label Yourself<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>What you need to understand is the only way to be happy is by taking back your power, and to do that you need to get to know yourself. You are responsible for your feelings, your behaviors, and your thoughts. By giving your power away to external factors, you are inviting unhappiness, frustration, and a general feeling of being trapped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We live in a world of labels \u2013 you\u2019re smart or you\u2019re stupid, you\u2019re ugly or you\u2019re pretty, you\u2019re successful or you\u2019re unsuccessful. We have this pressure by society to fit into certain boxes that conform to what is considered normal and expected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you allow yourself to be put in these boxes, though, you\u2019re giving your power away. Therefore, when you are faced with a decision you need to ask yourself where it\u2019s coming from. Are you making your choice based on society or on your inner truth?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Six Steps To Take Your Power Back<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Your potential is limitless, and it\u2019s time that you understood that and took back the power necessary to achieve what you want from life. Use these six steps to free yourself and recapture your power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Choose You. When faced with a choice are you making a decision that will empower you? Does your decision add value to your life and help you grow? Does it make you feel free? Does it make you feel happy? You should never allow your fear to outgrow your self-belief.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Self-Expression. You can express your feelings without blaming other people. Allow yourself to open up and be vulnerable, be courageous by expressing your needs and your feelings. You don\u2019t need to apologize for knowing what you want and who you are, it\u2019s the light that will guide your path.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Self-Awareness. Be aware of what you\u2019d like to change, whether it\u2019s about yourself, your career, or life in general. You should always be aware of what your self-talk is truly saying as opposed to what your ego is telling you. Your ego is just noise, it\u2019s your self-talk that speaks your true self.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Accountability. You are nothing if you cannot take responsibility for your words and deeds.
